Nitrocellulose Group is the Data Controller and is committed to protecting the rights of individuals in line with global data protection regulations, including the Data Protection Act 1998 (DPA) and the new General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
What information do we collect about you?
Personal data which may be held by Nitrocellulose Group includes the following
  • Your name, function and Company.
  • Email address and phone number
  • Company address
How do we collect your data?
Nitrocellulose Group may collect data during tendering and pre contract processes, from operational contracts and in instances where an individual freely and knowingly provides such information e.g. from exchanges of business cards, emails or web site links.
How will your information be used?
Nitrocellulose Group will hold and process personal data provided by a business contact for the following purposes:
  • Managing contracts and pre contracts between Nobel NC Ltd or Nobel NC Europe Ltd and your company relating to the supply of industrial nitrocellulose.
  • Communicating with you on matters relating to industrial nitrocellulose, e.g. changes in legislation and technical developments.
Neither Nitrocellulose Group nor Nobel NC Europe Ltd will share personal information with any third party organisation without your written permission.
What is our legal basis for processing your personal data?
For processing to be lawful under the GDPR, Nitrocellulose Group must identify a lawful basis before processing personal data.

The identified lawful conditions under which Nitrocellulose Group may process personal data are fulfillment of a contract, to comply with legal obligations or on the basis of your consent.
Any transfers to third countries and the safeguards in place
Personal data may be transferred to Nobel NC Ltd in Thailand for the management of contracts and pre contracts. Any data so transferred will be subject to the same safeguards detailed in this privacy notice and in the Nobel NC Europe Ltd GDPR procedure.

No personal data will be transferred to any other country outside the EU unless confirmation of adequate levels of protection of the rights of the data subjects has been confirmed by Nobel NC Europe Ltd and your written permission has been obtained.
How long will your information be held?
Personal data will only be retained where there is a genuine business need to do so and data will not be retained for longer than is necessary
What are your rights?
You have a right to access your personal information, to object to the processing of your personal information, to rectify, to erase, to restrict and to port your personal information.

Security of your information
Access to personal data will be strictly controlled. Employees with access to personal data will be briefed on their responsibilities by Management and will be required to sign a form confirming that they have read Nitrocellulose Group Data Protection Procedure and that they understand their responsibilities.
Breaches of confidentiality or security could result in disciplinary action.
How to make a complaint
If you are unhappy with the way in which your personal data has been processed you may in the first instance contact Dr Kim Dixon

If you remain dissatisfied then you have the right to apply directly to the appropriate Information Commissioner for a decision.
Changes to this privacy notice
This privacy notice will be reviewed on an annual basis.
